Fictive Press is a publisher of authors who embrace their inherently plural identities and whose works exhibit documentary fictions within the technical details of their production. The genres of autobiographical novels, meta-fiction, and creative approaches to archive, biography, authorship and hybrid forms of nonfiction are particularly encouraged, toward a new artistry of contemporary literature and its publication.

Fictive is an all-volunteer, independent initiative to bring arts journalism into a new literary light.
Based in Istanbul, we are foregrounding creatives from the local region, and hope to encourage contributors to be mindful of their localities.
We are working to make this a paying market for cultural workers; to commission original creative work, from texts to design, to engage with the latest critical innovations in the international arts field.

All content is digitally free as we work to attain institutional funding and other sources so as to properly compensate freelance contributors, and perhaps one day salaried staff. The ultimate aim is to commission work aligned to the editorial vision of Fictive

...where every artist is a critic, and every critic an artist.
